Abstract

The article is devoted to the development of a concept for lexicographic representation of commercial enterprises’ names in the city of Pskov. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to analyze and systematize the dynamically developing socially significant corpus of onomastic units – the names of Pskov commercial enterprises – for the purpose of the city’s ergourbonymy comprehensive representation in a linguacultural dictionary. The aim of the study is to develop a structure and present a model of a dictionary entry for a cultural dictionary based on the names of commercial establishments in Pskov. The scientific novelty consists in the development of the dictionary entry structure and the presentation of sample dictionary entries based on new regional factual material. The dictionary entry includes five mandatory and one optional parametric zones. An optional parametric zone is introduced to display additional encyclopedic (cultural-historical, regional, and socially significant) information about the object of nomination. The zone of linguistic and cultural commentary is introduced to reveal the motive of nomination and the cultural background. An illustrative parametric zone demonstrates the functioning of names in modern speech. The proposed dictionary entry model can be implemented using ergourbonyms of other cities, and the dictionary entries can be used in university courses in linguistic and cultural studies.
