Abstract

The article studies the features of the mythological plots’ transformation and functioning in Tatar poetry of the second half of the 20th century based on the poetic works of I. Yuzeev and Z. Mansurov. Mythological plots in Tatar culture of the 20th century manifest themselves in different forms: intensive use of mythological plots, their transformation and creation of “authorial myths”. This feature of the national culture is clearly seen in the poetry of the second half of the 20th century when classical types of creative thinking are intertwined with non-classical - avant-garde ones mutually enriching each other. Tracing the main trends in the artistic interpretation of mythological plots, determining their features of transformation and functioning in the poetic texts of I. Yuzeev and Z. Mansurov allows us to identify specific features of the national literature development in the second half of the twentieth century, to interpret its general and particular features in the patterns of the literary process development. Moreover, the methodological ambiguity of the studies in the field of national poetry in this period actualizes research interest in the problem of Tatar literature interaction with mythological traditions. The article focuses on the study of transformation and features of the mythological plots’ functioning in the poetic texts of I. Yuzeev and Z. Mansurov as a holistic phenomenon in literary criticism. The object of the study is I. Yuzeev and Z. Mansurov’s poems, which clearly demonstrate the main trends in the use of mythological plots in Tatar poetry in the second half of the twentieth century; the subject of the work is the features of mythological plots’ transformation and functioning. As a result of our study, we argue that in the second half of the twentieth century, mythological plots became both a means of conveying the author’s position, and a means of structuring the organization of poetic texts, which indicates the beginning of a new stage in the artistic interpretation of mythopoetic plots in the development of Tatar poetry.
