Abstract

This article describes the role and function of Tatar poetry created during the war years (1941-1945) in the spiritual, moral, and patriotic education of students, and the specifics of integrating general and supplementary education in this process. The relevance of this study is determined, firstly, by the insufficient methodological development of this topic in light of contemporary literary education strategies. Secondly, in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the study of war poetry from a methodological perspective takes on particular significance. Understanding and emotionally engaging with the issues of patriotism, loyalty to the Motherland, and spiritual values are particularly important, which underscores the relevance of our research.

The article focuses on the spiritual, moral and patriotic potential of Musa Jalil and Fatih Karim’s poetic texts, included in the curricula and textbooks on native (Tatar) literature, and on the integration of general and supplementary education in the spiritual, moral and civic-patriotic development of students in Grades 5-11. This explains the article’s scientific novelty.

The object of the study is Musa Jalil and Fatih Karim’s poetic texts, included in the programs and textbooks of basic and secondary general education. The subject of our work is the place and role of Tatar poetry of the war years (1941-1945) in the spiritual, moral and patriotic education of students, and the characteristic features of integration of general and supplementary education.

The study concludes that the educational, spiritual, moral, and patriotic potential of war poetry remains relevant in school literary education today. Furthermore, the integration of general and supplementary education is a crucial element in the spiritual, moral, and patriotic development of students through the study of M. Jalil and F. Karim’s works. Organizing discussions and debates about eternal spiritual and moral values, patriotism, and the meaning of life in the name of defending the Motherland, in both classroom and extracurricular activities, is essential within the context of studying Tatar poetry of the war years (1941-1945).
